Gushikawa Castle Site: Kidan and Koguchi

Monomi-no-Kuruwa (the second enclosure) of the castle consists of the Kidan (foundation platform) and the Koguchi (stairway entrance).  The stairway was discovered from inside the exposed foundation platform.  The platform and the stairway are from different time periods.  It appears that the stairs were buried and a new foundation platform was built in order to expand the Monomi-no-Kuruwa.
