Gushikawa Castle Site: Stone Wall Height
Of the stone walls encircling the Misaki-no-Kuruwa (main enclosure), those on the east side is narrow and low, while the west side has a wide and tall wall with Mushabashiri pathway built on the crest for lookout. The taller and wider wall was likely built to provide reinforced lookout on the west side, where there was a big rock and a back entrance to the castle ucliffnder the cliff.
